Turtle Power in Santa Teresa

This morning i was an incredibly lucky guardian of this baby turtle hatchling as it made its way from its nest to the sea.  It was a big bright full moon last night and that causes alot of the eggs to hatch but poor this little one. He was last out of a crew of about 50 and the beach was giant being low tide.  i chaperoned this little one all the way and sheilded him with my shadow so he wouldnt burn. It took around 2 hours. You can see in the video that Paloma fell asleep and she lent her shadow to the process also.

The most touching thing is that each of these tiny creatures all had a guardian standing over them. Patiently helping but not intervening and drawing so much love and protection. The turtles have to make their own way so that they imprint on their memory where to come back to when they lay their own eggs in time.

When our little one reached the sea i was so overjoyed. it was such an emotional moment.

Please don`t use straws and please stop using plastic bags everyone. Small steps but chain reaction. What you do will always effect others and so on. Lets stop single use plastic consumerism.
